Antietam "Our Bloodiest Day"

Command Paintball Civil War Game .
The Event: The Battle of Antietam was the first major battle in the American Civil War to take place on Northern soil. It was also the bloodiest single-day battle in American history. This years event will be more focused around Sharpsburgh and Bloody lane. Just like in the old days to simulate musket fire everyone will detach the hoppers and feed single shot for the first games then we put the hoppers back on in the afternoon.
Pricing: The cost per player for entry is ONLY $15 if pre registered before 8/15/08 and $29 the day of the event. All day Comp Air and Co2 fills are included in the entry fee. For those who don’t have their own equipment we have rental equipment is also available for an additional $10, includes mask, marker, hopper & tank. Pre Registrations encouraged to guarantee Union Or Southern Placement!!!
Paintballs (FPO): Paint prices are as follows. $50 for a case of 2000 paintballs, $25 for a half case of 1000 paintballs, $16 for a bag of 500 paintballs. Price breaks are available on 25+ cases please contact Joe Zam at Vague312@yahoo.com before the event.
Registration is capped at 300 players

Start Times
Registration Opens - 9:00am
Safety Brief – 10:30am
Union & Confederate Brief –11:00am
First Half (Hoppers Off) –11:30am – 1:30pm
Lunch – 1:30pm – 2:15pm
Second Half (Hoppers On) – 2:30pm – Dark
Registration Area
We have constructed a secondary Registration/Paint Sales building up top near speedball for this year’s event. Upon arrival players must check in to purchase paint get Arm Tape and receive a player’s card. Card checks will be conducted at random throughout the day.. Please present your Pre-Registration paperwork at the Registration Table. Credit & Debit Not accepted the day of the event.
Parking & Drop-offs
Parking will be in the usual area down bottom. A referee will be posted at our lower staging area greeting cars handing out waiver forms as they pull in. Every player must fill out a new form the day of the event.
Staging Area
The main staging area this year will also be up top for this event. Players may stage out of there vehicles but mind you it is a hefty walk back up. Pop Up tents are optional along with Tables/Chairs.
Air Fills (Co2/N2/HPA)
All Fill Stations will also be up top in our secondary building. The areas will be labeled.
All tanks must have a confirmed marker visible or the tank will be turned away.
Tank Hydro Checks
Be sure to have your tank presentable when you register. We will be conducting hydrostat checks for every HPA/Co2/N2 tank on field. Out of date tanks will not be permitted. Players will NOT receive a players card if tank is not presented.
Prize Giveaways
In addition to the normal giveaways 1 player from each side will also be sporting a New ICD Promaster complements of our friends at KEE.
The Event
First Half; (Hoppers Off - Single Shot)
- Just like in the old days we will be detaching the hoppers and feeding single shot to simulate musket fire. John S “Oddball” (Rogue Warriors) will be leading his Union attackers against “Joe Zam”s (F.O.R.K) who will be leading the Confederate defenders.

Second Half; (Hoppers on – Semi-Auto)
-After lunch we turn the clock forward putting the hoppers back on in the second half where Jake S (Rogue Warriors) will be leading the Union attackers cross field against Taylor M “Sprinkles” (F.O.R.K) who will be leading the Confederate defenders.
Missions
Missions will be issued by the Generals at random throughout the event.
Antietam Historic Background;
“GENERAL ROBERT E. LEE'S first invasion of the North culminated with the Battle of Antietam, in Maryland (or Sharpsburg, as the South called it). The battle took place just 18 days after the Confederate victory at Second Manassas, 40 miles to the southeast in Virginia.
Not only was this the first major Civil War engagement on Northern soil, it was also the bloodiest single day battle in American history.”
